Kelley Lehr and John Danos

Owners/ Directors

After 20 years in the legal industry, Kelley and John decided to put their humanities degrees to better use and pursue a dream by purchasing Greenhut from Peggy Golden in 2016. Kelley holds a B.A. in English from UCLA and an M.A. in Humanities from the University of Chicago. Her writing has been published in Lana Turner: A Journal of Poetry and Opinion. John obtained at B.A in English and History from Rice University and a J.D. from Tulane Law School. As a civil litigator, John was able to devote many hours to pro bono legal matters, fighting for public interest causes in which he believes. In 2019 Kelley and John opened Cove Street Arts, an 8,000 square foot multi-media art space located in East Bayside, Portland. This additional space enables them to showcase even more of the incredible breadth and depth of fine art being made in Maine.
